About this event
Day 1: June 22. This event’s drive will take us the backway though Victorville and Yucca Valley to the mountain town of Big Bear, California. Our lodging will be at the Holiday Inn Resort The Lodge at Big Bear Lake. The hotel is within walking distance of Snow Summit ski resort, the lake, and a host of shops and restaurants. After our drive and check-in at the hotel, everyone is free to relax around the hotel pool and bar or investigate the immediate area.
Day 2: June 23. Lots to do. Breakfast is at the hotel and included with the price of your room. Take the scenic chairlift to the top of the mountain slopes at 8,000 ft. and have lunch at the Mountain Top restaurant. Kayak on the lake. Enjoy a healthy nature walk along the water’s edge or the nearby mountain slopes. Ride the Mineshaft Coaster. After the day’s activities we will meet-up to enjoy a group dinner at Santana & Maverick’srestaurant on the lakefront followed by a 90-minute Sunset Lake Cruise on the Big Bear Queen. Afterwards, it’s back to the hotel where we’ll share adult beverages, a convivial gathering, and talk of our day’s experiences.
Day 3: June 24. Wake-up, have breakfast, and check-out of the hotel. We’ll meet-up at 10:30 a.m. for our 25-mile group drive to Lake Arrowhead for lunch at Jetties Waterfront Kitchen & Drink. After lunch one could walk around and visit the shops. From Lake Arrowhead, it's down the mountain via highways 173 to 18 to 210 and homeward bound.
The price for this fun-filled, action-packed event, is as follows: $125.00 that includes the club event fee, Monday group dinner, and Monday sunset cruise. Dinner menu choices will be made available in the not-to-distant future. Registration will open on April 28 and will close on June 15th and is limited to 30 participants.
